1. Go to http://www.encarta.com/ and find out which four countries form the United Kingdom.
2. Using PowerPoint, do at least six slides as an introduction to the UK.
Slide 1: Find a map that shows the location of the UK in the world.
Slide 2: A map of the UK showing the four countries. You have to label the countries and their capitals.
Slides 3-6: Make a slide with a fact file for each of the countries. You need to include the following information:
- Capital
- Flag
- National football team jersey
- Languages spoken

How to use the Dossier
The Dossier is a collection of your work in this course.
You can show it to other people.
You can show your English language abilities.
Choose examples of your works in the classroom.
You can also use work that you create outside class.
Use a folder to keep your Dossier work clean and safe.
What can you include in your Dossier?
• Final copies of your written work (compositions, songs, poems)
• Audio / Video recordings of you acting dialogues, role-plays, speaking tasks.
• Details of books you have read and your opinion of them.
• Interviews or conversations you have had with foreigners in English and other languages
